These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Cognihex corporate website at cognihex.com and related pages that link to these Terms (the “Site”). They do not replace the terms that apply to ExamAlly or other Cognihex products when you create an account or use those services.
1. Who we are
The Site is operated by Cognihex Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Company details are available on the Companies House register (search Cognihex Limited).
2. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change and, where appropriate, we will provide additional notice for material changes.
3. Permitted use
You may browse the Site for lawful, personal or internal business purposes to learn about Cognihex and our products. You must not:
- use the Site in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation;
- attempt unauthorised access to our systems, accounts, or data;
- introduce malware, scrape the Site excessively, or interfere with its operation;
- misrepresent your affiliation with Cognihex or use our branding without permission;
- copy, reproduce, or republish substantial parts of the Site except as allowed below.
4. Product services

5. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Site (including text, graphics, logos, layout, and software) is owned by or licensed to Cognihex Limited and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal reference. Any other use requires our prior written consent.
6. Educational and AI-assisted content
Cognihex builds learning technology that may use artificial intelligence. Content on the Site or in our products may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Nothing on the Site constitutes professional, legal, financial, or examination advice. You are responsible for your own preparation and decisions.
7. Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Subject to the above, Cognihex Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability to you for claims relating to the Site in any twelve-month period is limited to one hundred pounds sterling (£100), except where a higher minimum applies by law.
9. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites (including ExamAlly). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Accessing linked sites is at your own risk.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you use the Site and our services.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
